PROJECT

At Melbourne City Football Club, the City in the Community Young Leaders Training Program combines an online leadership training and a football coaching course to prepare its participants for the year ahead.

Highlighting the power football has to impact lives and communities, interviews with CEO Brad Rowse and A-League Men Captain Scott Jameson featured online. Successful alumni now support schools and community football programs across the South East of Melbourne.

I really enjoyed the program, especially meeting other young people who are also passionate about the game and keen to support their communities.

I am keen to go back to my old school and I want to help coach the kids there. Many are from an Afghan refugee background like me.

  • Filming and interviews of young leaders in coaching sessions and football matches at Gosch’s Paddock sports ground, Melbourne CBD.

  • 2-minute video edit for stakeholder audience

  • Short video for social media engagement
